Kohler Command PS-CH740-3182, 18.6 kW (25.0 hp) 4-cycle OHV, V-twin cylinder configuration. Heavy duty dual element air cleaner, low noise muffler.

Deck Configuration

Rear discharge, front-mounted rotary with two blades. Fabricated 7 gauge side, 10 gauge top with reinforcement deep, and continuous bead welded construction. The deck discharges to blower via a 15.2 cm (6.0 inch) diameter chute. The deck centerline is mounted on the machine centerline. 0 cm (0 inch) uncut circle.

Deck Drive

Splined PTO shaft with quick disconnect high speed U-joints with shear pins at blades for total drive protection. Three independently sealed, high capacity superior gearboxes with spiral-bevel cut gears for quiet operation.

Height of Cut

2.5 cm to 10.1 cm (1.0 to 4.0 inches) with 6 mm (1/4 inch) increments.

Blades

Formed 5.2 mm (0.20 inch) thick blades with 12.7 cm (5.0 inch) air foil. Tip speed is 18,500 fpm @ 3600 rpm.

Hydro Drive Unit

Twin Hydro-gear PK 12 cc N-type pumps and twin Hydro-gear 18 cu in H series planetary reduction wheel motors with wet disc park brake. A 5.7 litre system oil capacity, remote reservoir and spin on fitler. The pumps are driven by a self tensioning belt drive system.

Ground Speed

Infinitely variable. Forward: 11.3 km/h (0-7.0 mph) Reverse: 8.9 km/h (0-5.5 mph).
