Engine

Briggs & Stratton® 725 EXi Series (104M02-001-F1), 7.25 ft-lbs., 163 cc engine with Guaranteed to Start system. Four cycle, air cooled, vertical crankshaft, overhead valve, oil dipstick and fill tube, mechanical compression release, above deck muffler, mechanical governor and as standard a single element air cleaner. It has an aluminum cylinder. Engine is fitted with a top mounted recoil starter.

Housing

Stamped steel, spiral grass chamber with rear bagging, side discharge and recycling (mulching) capability. Includes front throw baffle, and rear discharge opening with spring loaded door. Side discharge is via optional discharge chute P/No. 139-6556.

Height of Cut

Each wheel individually adjustable by leaf spring type hand levers, from 2.5 cm to 10.2 cm (1.0 to 4.0 inches), nine positions, in approximately 0.85 cm (0.3 inch) increments.

Blade

55.2 cm long heat treated alloy steel. Blade attached to crankshaft with a keyed blade driver, blade stiffener and special bolt with lock washer.

Controls

Throttle Control: None, engine speed fixed at 3,000 +/- 100 rpm.

Flywheel Brake Bail: With bail against the upper handle, engine can be started and run. With the bail released, the engine will stop.

Self Propel Bail: The telescopic control handle converts sliding motion to rotary motion, engaging the transmission cable. Infinitely variable ground speed is determined by the relative position of the telescopic control handle, which is controlled by the operator’s walking speed.

Wheels

Front: 20.3 x 5.7 cm (8.0 x 2.25 inch) – Grey Hub with Monprene tread tyre. Rear: 24.1 x 5.7 cm (9.5 x 2.25 inch) – Grey Hub with Monprene tread tyre.

Catching Bag

70.5 litres (2.0 bushels).

Gearbox

Twin single speed sealed maintenance free FWD and AWD gearboxes. Both gearboxes have a final drive ratio of 4.5:1. Enclosed over-running ratchet clutches that provide positive forward drive and a differential action. Adjustable traction cables pivot the gear cases to tighten or loosen drive belts for clutching function.

Warranty
